Friday, May 31st we got a real bop going down! LGBTQties Burlesque & Variety Show is going to be an event you and yours don’t want to miss. With piping hot LGBTQ+ entertainers  of Color, serving us their best drag, and burlesque for ONE NIGHT ONLY before pride! It’s a going to be a smash, that you cant pass. Bring a little cash and help us get right for Community Pride! We look forward to seeing you there SUGGESTED DONATIONS of $5 – $10, Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the real fun begins at 8:30 p.m.

Queer Shades of Comedy showcases local LGBTQ+ performers of color to entertain us with a night of laughter and community! Our show is meant to get you ready for June and the rest of the events we have in store! There is a suggested donation $5-10. Doors open 8PM and show starts at 8:30PM!

Performers will include AS Green, Walta Yoseph, Carlos Teel, Brooke Cartus and Pat Deering.

Updates on Community Pride 2019: Decades of Resistance

Community Pride is BACK, y’all! This is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, and we wanted to honor that with this year’s theme of Decades of Resistance. We are so excited for this year’s festivities, and we cannot wait to build this celebration with you. Here are some updates on what happening this summer:

We have a parking lot reserved for attendees at *Broad and Garfield* at the Broad Street Presbyterian Church. Follow parking signs to the lot where volunteers will direct you to your parking spot. There is limited street parking in the area surrounding the park, so we recommend that folks park in the parking lot designated for Community Pride. This lot will most likely fill up, so please be respectful to folks living in the neighborhood if you do park on the street.

Folks who need to be closer to the festival for it to be accessible to them may park in the lot of the Bethany Presbyterian Church indicated in blue on the map below.

PLEASE NOTE: There is NO parking for Community Pride at the King Arts Complex.
