Columbus Community Pride 2020: FTP! Part 1
Presenting the 3rd Annual Columbus Community Pride: FTP! What does FTP mean, you might ask? FTP is an acronym that sends many revolutionary messages: Fuck the police! Fight the power! Free the prisoners! For the people! FTP has been a rallying cry for generations of disempowered and disenfranchised people, and we need to tap into that spirit more than ever before. From the Maroon societies to the Compton Cafeteria Riots to the Attica Uprising to the daring fare-evaders in NYC (@decolonizethisplace), movements for justice have always prioritized people over the powers that be, by any means necessary.
Community Pride has been, is, and will always be about bashing back against the anti-Black, racist, transphobic, capitalist, xenophobic forces that wreak havoc in our lives. We call all our kin to join us in celebrating the 3rd Annual Columbus Community Pride: FTP!!
